Once a seeker approached his mentor and drew his notice upon a serious problem being faced by him in light of the pursuit of his passion.

Once a seeker approached his mentor and drew his notice upon a serious problem being faced by him in light of the pursuit of his passion. He told him that ‘sir’ you sculptured my character in a manner that to struggle has become the way of my life and while undergoing it I feel pleasure… sir, you taught me about adopting an organized approach towards each and every issue that connects me in my life. But despite of all that is there within me as a different being the things are not happening in life the way I want… His mentor heard him and raised a question; “tell me something about your daily schedule”. His student though understood the simple question but in the exercise to read between the lines of his mentor he remained silent. On not finding any answer from him the mentor reiterated the question and expressed it this time with some more detail. “Son my question is very simple I just want to know that how you live any single day?”
The seeker starting giving details about the way he would ordinarily live any single day. The details provided by the seeker were regarding rising up, getting ready, indulging into routine activities, relaxation, entertainment, food, telephone calls and retiring for the day etc. The conclusion that any ordinary mind shall draw from it was that the seeker was consuming a fair amount of portion of his time towards the struggle or working upon his pursuit; i.e. his passion. From an aerial perspective there was no room for any lethargy or carelessness on his part; all seemed to be done there was nothing that appeared as undone. The master was a soul that had gathered perfection of observation after years of rigorous perseverance; he understood where the problem lied and therefore he asked his student to postpone his return the same day and insisted that he should stay at his place for another two days.
Although the seeker had lined up engagements back home but on the insistence of his master he changed his plan to return back and starting making postponements for all activities that were already on his engagement list for next two days to come… It was evening the mentor asked him to pray, have dinner and go to bed early; since the next morning for them shall begun early. The instructions were followed at the end of the seeker.
The seeker was awakened in early hours of the morning at 3 and was given 30 minutes to get ready for the meditation outside in open. The seeker was unaware about anything on the mind of his mentor therefore he merely had invoked a higher degree of observation within himself. Right at 3.30 both were sitting outside in open facing the woods for their meditation. The meditation started with concentration upon the cycle of breath and furthered into deeper observation. The moment it furthered the mentor starting murmuring something that was clear enough for the seeker to understand but inadequate for anyone to gather, that stood away at a distance of ten feet. The murmuring was quite strange that the seeker had never before noticed during years of his association with his mentor.
The seeker was now observing a strange behavior from his mentor and that too… during the moments of meditation when one dives deep into the dimensions of consciousness; disconnected from the world outside. The observation of the seeker enhanced in order that not even a single word goes amiss… The obliterated voice of the mentor went on mechanically repeating few words… “There is darkness behind my closed eyes and there is darkness outside… the darkness in me shall not go… the darkness outside shall never leave… whatever we do it shall remain dark all over…” With the continuous repetition of these strange phrases that came out of a source that always emanated hope, luminosity started giving pain to the seeker. He thought that his mentor has been possessed by some negative power and this disastrous transformation is an outcome of that change. The act prolonged for another one hour and the time was around 0430 hrs and it was all dark outside.
It became absolutely unbearable for the seeker to experience the conduct of his master anymore… he had to tear apart all his restraint and raised his right hand and held the right shoulder of his mentor… generally it is considered as grave indecency on the part of students to dare and touch their mentor anywhere above except feet unless prompted by the mentor himself. But today it was the case of an extraordinary irrational conduct that crossed all limits from a source that was considered as epitome of divine light. The moment the seeker touched the shoulder of his mentor… mentor opened his eyes in curiosity and asked his student; “why did you disturb me in the moments of my contemplation”… the student informed him about the strange and inconsiderate words coming out of him. Listening to his student the mentor furthered his talk; “Look son there is dark outside and we are here since last one hour, not even a single streak of light has approached us to reassure that light shall dawn… I believe that today the sun shall not appear. The student was shocked even more by this new line coming out of his revered mentor. He then questioned him with all force. “Master the sun shall appear on its schedule and that moment has not come as yet…”. Mentor immediately responded him back by saying; “am in not sitting here in search of light. Do you think that I am a fool merely wasting my time and energy in invocation of a light that has not turned up so far…”. The seeker had enough to say but he restrained of making any further mention. Student now had become so heavy that he was carrying an unbearable burden of witnessing his mentor in a pathetic state where he was behaving as a lunatic.
The mentor was scaling his student’s) mental frame inch by inch… he then said. “ the way I have made all efforts to rise early, bathe in cold water, seated outside in cold, making efforts to dive within… apparently as my efforts go on there is no amiss… the checklist of my items goes 100 percent… but somewhere within me I have no hope that light shall ever turn within and without… my act may appear as of any lunatic but this is how is experience within my heart. It is a chance that the hidden experience of my deeper self has surfaced into my murmurs and you therefore became aware of it… Look son do not be aggrieved of my state because I find you sailing within the same boat… treat me as a companion. The way I somewhere deep within do not have the trust to accomplish… the same is with you too in your pursuit… while following a struggle some day with all relevant endeavors the skepticism at your deepest end is thwarting all that wants to travel towards you… are you giving your sun its due time to arrive? After his last words the mentor asked his student to leave; for all that was of its convey was now with the student to gather and involve it in his deepest perceptory levels. Through this article search that student within your own self and question your ‘that part of self’ that holds all compliance to norms of its basic pursuit but at the same time the hidden vibration within him/her thwart all that wants to come towards them in form of developments.
