Ultrasound technicians are required to have at least high school diploma .Most employers prefer applicants who have formal education .The programs for ultrasound technicians are available at universities, community colleges, hospitals, vocational and technical schools . The syllabus of these courses include anatomy and physiology , medical ethics , basic physics as well as instrumentation .
Ultrasound technicians can also earn voluntary certificates and registration from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) to gain competitive edge in this field.
