Romantic Ebooks Done Right are Marvelous
Read and Learn First!

Though I’ve never written a romance novel I took it upon myself to research some tips in case I ever decide to dabble. If you too are thinking of getting your feet wet, here’s what I found –
Unless you are a fan of romance books you better not try and write them, at least for a living. Now you may be wondering WHY I’m saying that. It’s simply to protect you. There is so much competition in the romantic ebook world that you’ve got to be a specialists of reading them before you can SUCCESSFULLY write them. Of course there are exceptions to the rules but for the most part that’s the truth as we all know it.

So if you haven’t already you need to read every romance novel you can get your hands on. Let the ideas start flowing and open your mind to creating in your head a few story plots you might like to build around. Brainstorming is critical and from there you can put pen to paper and start to sort through all the crap to get to the diamond in the rough – your first romance ebooks idea!

If you seriously want to Rock your Romance Book you MUST Create Believable Conflict!
Hands down one of the biggest struggles a writer of romance ebooks has is creating a conflict or series of conflicts that will keep the audience on the edge of their feet from start to finish. I’m sure you’ve read many romantic ebooks where the story has been excellent out of the starting gates but you’ve fallen asleep before the end. Or even worse, you can’t remember what the details of the story were about from beginning to end. All of this signifies that the author didn’t do a good enough job creating a strong conflict.

Quality conflict takes effort and research with multiple layers. Think of it like you would those little wooden oriental dolls that stack inside one another. You open the big one and there’s another. You open that one and there’s another still, just a little bit smaller than the one you just opened. And you keep on opening the dolls up until you get to the tiny one at the end that you can’t open.

A romance ebook has many layers of conflict that interconnect and empower each other. A great romance writer takes the time to create layered conflict that carries each reader through the book start to finish.

It Starts with the Characters…
If you are going to get it right it’s the characters that will be your starting point. Figure out who they are and what they want. This will give you the base to create your interesting and suspenseful conflict.

Is it a lonely broken-hearted abused woman looking to get revenge? Or perhaps it’s a protective angled conflict where the hero swoops in to save his true love from a dangerous dysfunctional relationship. With his goal to prove to his beloved from afar that she is worthy of so much more than the manipulative abusive piece of dirt she’s with?

You’ve GOT to go for it with the Shocking, Exciting, Emotional Roller-Coaster Plots if you want your Reader’s to want more.

Hope this helps you get started with your fabulous romantic ebooks masterpiece!
