How to Fix “Disk Not Formatted” Error in Compact Flash Card

The Disk Not Formatted error is a serious error which can make the images stored in compact flash card inaccessible. To fix the problem, you can use stellar photo recovery and recover the lost photos.
The compact flash cards are basically mass storage devices which are widely used in portable digital cameras, cell phones, handicams and other devices for storing data. How to fix the error?

In order to resolve the problem, you need to re-format the card in accordance to the system for which the card is being used. This will make the system able to use the card again. In case of Windows, you can follow the below mentioned steps in order to format the card using disk management:

Right click on My Computer and select the Manage option from the drop down menu.
Click on the Disk Management on the left panel under Storage button.
Now, right click on the card being displayed in the listing of drives and devices in the right panel.
After that click on format.

This action may result in emergence of a warning message asking to the continual of drive formatting. Click on yes and then OK to start formatting. This will delete the photos stored in the compact flash card but it can be restored using backup.
