Sweaty pits. We all get them every now and then but for some of us it’s a bigger problem than for others. If you find that you’re an excessive sweater it can be quite embarrassing in certain company. The frustrating thing is that it’s the high-stress times when the problem is at its worse, and it’s those same times that you want to look your best and have the most confidence. It’s a classic Catch-22 situation. There are certain things you can do to prepare yourself beforehand so that you’re ready and can handle any situation that presents itself. A sweat undershirt is one option, but there are others:
Deodorants and Antiperspirants - These serve to mask the smell of body odor and stop you from sweating as much. There are special strengths that help people that sweat heavily. Degree deodorant claims to work more effectively when you’re in stressful situations. You’ll have to do your own research and experimentation, but once you find a brand that helps you with your problem, you can stick with it and you’ll become confident in its results.
Sweat Undershirt - You probably wear an undershirt already to keep from sweating up your nice shirts. What you might not know is that they have specially designed undershirts that help keep everything dry and odor free. These shirts have special materials that whisk the sweat from your body and keep it from soaking into your outer shirt. The underarms are reinforced so you won’t get the dreaded pit stains. They’re also made to feel light so they won’t overheat you, and they’re made to feel soft and smooth so you won’t get irritated by them.
Sweat Pads - There are sweat pads on the market that basically work like armpit diapers. They’ll soak up anything that comes their way, but they’re also rather bulky and may look awkward under clothes. These might work if you have a big over-sized shirt over them but won’t necessarily do the job if you’re wearing a simple tee or polo shirt.
Botox - You can even go so far as getting Botox injections into your sweat glands to prevent them from generating sweat in the first place. It involves inserting the Botox directly into your sweat glands in your underarms. This treatments lasts for about six months or so, so you’ll need to return to the doctor if you find it effective and want to do it again.
