In Indian tradition, teachers are portrayed as next to god. When children start their educational career, they are taught by their parents to pay respect to the teachers because teachers are the people who guide them to walk on the right path of their lives.

Teachers are considered as the guides of one's entire life. Most of the childrens’ characters are shaped first by their parents and second by their teachers.
Therefore, as a good teacher, one is expected to be kind-hearted and honest. Second trait which is very necessary for a teacher to have is patience. Thirdly, teachers are required to study hard, because they are the source of knowledge for their students, but having only that is enough. They also should have the caliber to teach the children in a good way. Hence, to be a good teacher is not a matter of joke.
Is everybody convinced with the fact that teachers of these days and teachers of the earlier days are same? If we make a survey, we can bring out a fact that teachers of the present period are much rude than the teachers of earlier days. Many of the cases in India have been launched by the parents against the teachers in regard of extreme misbehavior or causing physical injury to the students.
With a wealth of knowledge, it is also important for a teacher to have a kind heart for the children. People with a kind heart can love and similarly, teachers also should have a kind heart to love their students. Students can learn everything that they teach only if they are not afraid of their teachers. Students love kind-hearted teachers. In fact they love everything that they are not afraid of. No matter how the teacher looks like, the students learn everything that they teach because they find themselves connected to them with love.
Whereas, if the teachers do not have a kind heart and a mild behavior, then it will hardly matter how much brilliant and skilled they are. When grown up students are taught something, they are not highly required to be taken care of the their sentiments, but while dealing with the small children it is very much require to take care of the polite behavior of the teachers towards them. Therefore, it is one of the things that teachers always should care for.
