In 2005, Sony had decided to part ways with that classic design for the PS3 and introduced the new Dual Shock 3. However, possibly in response to overwhelmingly negative feedback, Sony ditched that design and returned to something more familiar, but with a twist -- it's motion sensitive! Sony may have closed the hole with firmware 3.50, but someone already seems to have found a new way to jailbreak the machine, and it uses an official Sony product to achieve it. The controller can switch between wireless (up to seven can be supported via Bluetooth) and wired, and you can easily charge it by plugging in a USB cable. A Sixaxis or DualShock 3 controller connected to the PS3 via a USB port can jailbreak the machine. Unfortunately it isn’t as simple as just plugging it in, though. A PIC needs to be installed inside the wholesale ps3 accessories so you’ll need to do some soldering. Gaming on mobile devices is becoming more commonplace every day, but the design of a 10" tablet isn't really very friendly when it comes to playing your D-Pad style games. There have been tons of attempts to fix this, but for some video game accessories games there’s just no replacement for the traditional controller. At the moment it looks as though this is a new method of jailbreaking a PS3 using the USB connection when a controller is plugged in. It is unclear whether this uses the same solution as PSGroove, and if it is also blocked by the firmware 3.50 update. We've seen people connect the Wii remote to an Android device, and at Google I/O they showed off being able to connect a PC controller to Android 3.1 devices, but what about the PS3? Can we get some Sixaxis love on our Android devices?
