Google recently a study conducted into the use of smartphones. Not just of course, but to show that it can be very interesting for Google AdWords to advertise on these smartphones.

Mobile ads really work!
When I look at my own situation (as a consumer) I must admit that I regularly see such ads will pass, and then there regularly.
As the owner of search engine marketing firm Yargon I see it. For a large number of advertisers it just works really well. Many conversions for a low price.
Why do mobile ads?
We can use smart phones into two categories: entertainment ( social media , news, games) and problemsolving.
Especially the latter category, when people use the smartphone to a problem is very interesting. In many cases, it also runs to "location-based problems". Some examples:
* People are looking for a hotel in a particular city;
* One is looking for a restaurant in a particular city;
* They want to know whether a particular store (eg: "electronics store Eindhoven");
* Price comparisons. It is in a store and want to know if the product cheaper elsewhere (in your online store for example);
* It has been left out, and goes in search of a locksmith;
* Etc..
Moreover, there are still many situations in which to think the solution is a smartphone.
They also work for your business?
The big question, of course: they also work for your business? That is something that one should come back.
If you are a local company (like a restaurant or bed and breakfast), I'm sure it's interesting. But even when a "national" store (or business) have the chances that it works. See the example above, the price comparisons.
Finally, you may also remember that not all situations where the smartphone is using site specific. That branding and mobile advertising is not to be underestimated!
Some tips for advertising on smartphones
Finally, I give you a few tips when you go to work with mobile ads:
* Google AdWords Tips on how to start.
* Make up a separate landing page programs for mobile ads. Make sure you do not have to scroll too much.
* Provide clear call to action buttons you can easily click (not so small).
* Make sure not too many links together. Is in fact quite frustrating when you accidentally click the wrong hyperlink.
* Make sure there is a clear number on the landing page, and preferably also other details such as the address.
* Make sure your site displays properly in the various mobile browsers. Remember flash and other frills. Keep it as light and simple as possible.
* Test how your website looks in Safari (the browser on the iPhone for example)? Click here .
* Measuring = knowing. Within Google Analytics, you can perfectly measure the mobile ads do make use of it also!
