The Honda CR-V 2012 launch is planned out to postponed. The delay is due to lack in supply of auto parts from Japan after this year’s tsunami and earthquake which had left auto parts industry in crippled state.Japanese parts suppliers are combating to deal in full capacity and this has affected the production for all major car brands who are depended on Japan for auto parts . Other cars to be affected due to auto parts scarcity in North America for 2011 include the Honda CR-Z, Honda Civic Hybrid,Honda Insight, and Honda RL. The earthquakes and tsunami has totally oppressed the supply systems for most car makers in Japan, with adverse effect on the development program of their new vehicles as well.

This delay will stamp out not only the Honda’s market share but also will benefit other competitor models like Ford Endeavour at a price tag of Rs. 16,25,000, Toyota Fortuner which is made available at a price of Rs. 20,14,800 ,Chevrolet Captiva at Rs. 17,96,921 and Mitsubishi Pajero with the price tag of Rs. 19,85,000. The price for Honda 2012 CR-V will range up between Rs 22,64,038- Rs 24,88,438.The full production capacity will start by late 2011 and this in turn will make the Honda CR-V 2012 price tag to jump higher than normal. The car will be in limited numbers till the time everything settles back to normal and all the systems start functioning as before. The new Honda CR-V 2012 is expected to make its debut in 2012 Los Angeles Motor Show.Honda and the Honda 2012 CR-V is not the first to announce vehicle delays due to recent events in Japan.
