Phuket is active and it may sometimes feel like it is difficult to get away from it all. Even so, it is possible to find several beaches and islands fairly near from holiday villas in Phuket you can travel to to escape. Below are four beaches you should look at visiting.

Phuket is among Thailand's most popular travel destinations. Having said that, sometimes it can seem to be difficult to get away from them all. This is particularly true if you are staying in places like Patong Beach, where hotels, restaurants, and shopping places fill the areas within easy reach of the soft white sand and warm waters. True, the area never gets boring so if you're in search of action, you are never far away. Nonetheless, it may exhaust you too and if you're hunting for a quieter beach to relax in, you will have to go out of there. So if you are staying in one of many Patong villas, you should look at renting out a boat to some of the following beaches:
Ton Sai Beach, Railay Peninsula:
Although on the mainland, it is isolated by large limestone cliffs making boats the only way to get there. It is a hub for rock climbers. While the beach isn't as isolated and off-the-beaten path as it formely was as more backpackers have discovered the area, you'll be able to still avoid that by going there during the quieter months of May-October. Be aware, however, that the beach isn't as suited to swimming as the other beaches because of its rocky nature, particularly when it's low tide.
Koh Yao Noi:
Although near your holiday villas in Phuket's more packed areas by boat, it has not yet been totally touched by mass development. The island is known as a result of the fact it won the World Legacy Award for Destination Stewardship in 2002 from Conservation International and National Geographic Traveler magazine due to its eco-friendly homestay program. You can kayak, hike, swim and snorkel when there. Note to would-be visitors: locals here insist in keeping their local culture intact so be considerate! Ways to accomplish this include things like dressing up more decently, and not drinking outside businesses serving visitors.
Koh Lanta:
The island, while not undiscovered and pristine, is still quieter and less thoroughly developed than a lot of its neighbours, like Phuket and Koh Phi Phi. The area has white sand beaches, cultural-based attractions, and nature-based attractions like caves, forests, marine wildlife (take note, divers!), and orchid farms. You will best appreciate it if you're going straight to it from packed, highly-developed resort areas like Patong or Koh Phi Phi.
Koh Lao Liang:
The island is basically an eco-resort. If you're searching for nature or merely a spot that a majority of travellers don't visit, this place is for you. There are clear waters where you can snorkel, kayak, and scuba dive. You've got white sand where one can sunbathe, relax and read a book all day on. Climbers shouldn't feel out of place here: you've got lots of limestone cliffs and rock formations where you could rock climb or boulder on. Plus, there's a 30 metre rock-face where you could observe marine life from if you feel the urge to do some wildlife watching.
There are other beaches and islands you can take a day trip to via boat from one of the Patong villas you are staying in. Just make sure to conduct some research either online, or by asking staff working at or fellow travellers staying in those hotels, resorts, or holiday villas in Phuket when you arrive. Have fun during your holiday!
