Contrary to popular belief, video games offer opportunities for puzzle solving and encourage strategic thinking. There are a number of cheap video games available in the markets that encourage critical thinking. Let’s take a look at the latest entrant in the world of video games- Halo: Reach developed by Bungie and published for the Xbox 360 console. Reach is the final Halo title, to be developed by Bungie as the development would now be taken over by Microsoft.

The game is set in the year 2552, where men from the human colony of Reach are locked in a battle with the alien Covenant. Halo: Reach is designed as a prequel to the Halo games that have come before. Players in this game assume the role of Noble 6, a super soldier, who is a part of the super elite soldier squad. The game begins when Noble 6, along with his squad is sent to find out the reason, why a relay station went offline. The noble team upon reaching the relay station finds the Covenant responsible for the act. The game is about how the Noble team battles the Covenant.

What’s great about the game is that every game mode is linked very well. The game also offers extensive options to customize. It’s a great cooperative play. One of the best things about Halo: Reach is the menu system that’s refined to include the main game play mode and the status of your friends playing the game. It also allows you to go through their service records and allows you to invite them to your party.

The mission starts with an investigation to check a distress call. As said earlier the distress, is caused by the Covenant. Every squad member in the noble team is unique, and interacting with them is interesting. There are a few cheap moments though, but negligible when compared to the overall effect that brings out the forthright heroism of the soldiers in the squad. What begins as minor skirmishes explodes into large scale conflict, with dramatic turns. The musical score by Martin O’Donnell manages to keep the pace of the game very well especially during the climax.

There is plenty of scope for excitement, wherein you can pick your own routes to the battlefield. There’s also the friendly Al, who isn’t too much of help though. The firefight mode that was launched in the Halo 3: ODST offers a field for players to take on the Covenant forces. For those who would like to take a difficult task, you can also defend generators as you are killing Covenant, or can fight grunts that fling confetti on the air as you shoot them. Just by tweaking one of the built in variants , you can customize the toughness of each enemy wave , the weapons, shields and also the strength of gravity .The game is not only rich in content but also in the challenges that are thrown on the player. Reach is indeed on of the best and fully featured games available on console.

There are a number of sites that offer to sell Halo: Reach, at affordable prices.
