Refrigerant
The refrigerant is a mixture of liquid and gas that flows through the air conditioning lines in the HVAC system. When you are using low temperature the refrigerants are in liquid states but as it warms up, it gradually turns into gas state. The transformation is responsible for the cooling function of the HVAC system.
Compressor
The compressor on the other hand keeps the refrigerant flowing throughout the HVAC system using the copper tubing. This is one of the most important HVAC parts. When the HVAC system is in the simplest state, the compressor draws the refrigerant into the evaporator coils. It then squeezes and then pushes the gas into the condenser coils. This function regulates the cooling capacity of the air conditioner.
Condenser coil
The condenser coil is very similar to car's radiator. It surrounded by aluminum fins. A continuous copper tube runs back and forth to the condenser. The hot refrigerant circulates into the condenser and that then produces hot air. From there it travels into the expansion valve.
Actuator valves
The actuator valve is the device used to connect the control of the HVAC system and the valves. It helps compress the air, the hydraulic fluid and

Functions of HVAC system
There are basically three functions of a HVAC system: heating, cooling and ventilating. First let's talk about its heating function. In HVAC system, the heat is supplied by the electric, fired oil, natural gas, or steam heated units.
The heat produced by any of these heat sources are then forced out using a very powerful fan. The heat are freed into the duct system and then throughout the entire building. Once the interior temperature reaches its set temperature, the burner automatically shuts off. If the room temperature lowers, the heater is then automatically switched back on to produce more heat.
The cooling system on the other hand is powered by the compressor. The compressor pumps the heat out of the room and then pumps the cool air inside the room. Once the cool air is produced, it is then distributed all over the room into the ductwork.
Ventilation ductwork is especially designed to channel the air to reach the interior of the room within the building. Once the ductwork is places away from the HVAC unit, a phenomenon called het air effect produces little pressure and slowly out of the vents.
