As we all know the home theater speakers can do something different when it comes to better movie watching experience. Though you may have the perfect picture because of your HDTV, unless you also get the perfect sound from all angles, you will not feel the real action. To be able to do that, it’s important for you to have this surround sound place at different points across the living room. Here you will learn the key components for doing that setup.

Subwoofer

First of all, you won’t be able to get the full cinema experience when there is no bass. Most audio of movie soundtracks has a feature that is designed for low frequencies, that is why you need to have some powered subwoofer.

Not the same with others speakers found in the surround sound layout, these subwoofers do have to be large enough. A bigger speaker has deeper sound but smaller ones are enough for living rooms. Good thing is, you don’t have to problem this big subwoofers that looks so obvious beside your TV as you can place them anywhere in the living room. This is due to the fact that the sound waves of bass are mostly omni directional or meaning the ear cannot really tell the source of the bass sound.

Surround Speakers

With the 2.1 channel surround sound system, you only have front left and right speakers so it’s easier for you to setup this surround sound type of system. But with 5.1 system or even bigger it can get a little bit more challenging for you to set up something that can make you feel that your right in the middle. These kinds of speakers are the one responsible for producing wide range of sound effects. The way that it blends with other speakers also would mean that it would help you hear things more clearly.

Each home has a different home layout so you must need to be certain that you are able to set the speakers properly. It is necessary that you could angle them correctly to give the desired effects and make sure that they are not immovable or completely fixed.

Center Channel Speaker

As the speakers name already suggest, this one goes straight to the center of the surround sound system. Most of the time, it placed just below the screen of your TV. You should get this position right as all the sound coming from the TV will mostly come thru this one particular speaker.

Front Left and Right Speakers

The two speakers are the one responsible for most of the elements of movie audio like the special effects that could come from the that side of the screen or if not some musical soundtrack. When you are using the surround sound system to listen, they would act being the left and right stereo speakers. These speakers do come in complete range of sizes and shapes.

Now as you see, there are several elements you need to consider in setting up your surround sound. All of them have a crucial role so important that you must learn the proper positioning for you to create that fantastic audio experience.
