Probably you are one of those shoppers that look for ideal speakers to place in your living room. You could be wondering as to what are the types of home theater speakers, of course, it is not only the specification that you need to check.
Looking for the design of your speaker is also an important consideration. You need to know if they match the style of your living room and if they are easy to set up in the house. Here, you would find the major types of home theater speakers that are now available in the market.
1. Compact Surround Speakers
Many of the modern home theater speakers now comes with compact and sleek designs that are capable of producing some great range of sounds. Due to their size, they could be best to handle mid and high frequency sounds. All you need is to place this variety of speakers properly into your room and you will definitely achieved something like a true surround sound effect making you feel that your are there right in middle of some live action.
2. Soundbars
Don’t think that every good thing comes with tiny packages! We know that Soundbars are getting more popular nowadays, thanks to that, because that thing can do so much even if it is a small device. These sound bars are the long and thin bars that we can put above or just below our flat screen television (most of the time together with a subwoofer placed somewhere). We can say that they are not obtrusive and blend easily with the most of the HDTVs. All of the speakers are then housed in that soundbar at different angles plus with other features that makes them capable of creating a virtual surround sound effect. This may not be like the true surround sound but it’s great enough as on option that can help you save more space and more money.
3. Subwoofers
In whatever type of home theater speaker that you have in the home, it is expected that a subwoofer goes along with it. If there is no subwoofer around, it is likely that you won’t achieve that full sound effects when you play your speakers system. The subwoofers are relatively bigger as compared with other speakers. This is important in order to make some low-frequency sound. Good thing is that our ears cannot easily identify where the bass sound comes from that is why these large subwoofer can be set up anywhere in the living room but also make sure to keep it in places that won’t block your way.
4. Floor Standing Speakers
If you think you have a spacious house, you can use the floor standing speakers to fill the space. However, these speakers vary greatly on the type or model that you would choose. The floor standing speakers have more potential to give louder and fuller sound effect (but this feature comes with a price!)
All of these, by no other means are simply the best types for home theater speakers that are now available. We can say that speaker technology has been advancing and this guarantees us there will be a right speaker style and size that suites our specific audio need and our living room space and style.
