This leads to urine remaining completely in the bladder. It may not respond to drugs and the symptoms do not alleviate, at this stage surgery or other treatment option is required to have a complete cure.
Green light laser is used to treat patient suffering with enlargement of prostate gland or Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia. It is an invasive procedure that evaporates the prostate tissue completely, but there are many complications that arise during this procedure. High power laser energy is used to dissolve the prostate tissue, the rays are absorbed by the prostate tissue and it is followed by the complete vaporization and removal of the tissue. Green light is a risky procedure that causes various unwanted side effects and worsens the body condition than the previous state.
Green light laser procedure:
Patients are administered either spinal anesthetic or general anesthetic during the procedure. Type of anesthesia that has to be administered is determined by the urologist or anesthetists. Under anesthesia a scope will be inserted into prostate and urinary bladder through the external opening urethra. Patient could feel the pain and may bleed even under anesthesia. The scope consists of the green light laser fiber. Treatment lasts for 1-2 hours and hospitalization is needed.
There are so many side effects that can occur as a result of the treatment. It includes
(a) Pain after the procedure
(b) Patient cannot control the flow of urine
(c) Leakage of urine without control
(d) Less intense orgasm
(e) Premature ejaculation
(f) Lack of sex drive
(g) Frequent bathroom visits
