ER
ER is a television series that revolves around the careers and personal lives of surgeons and nurses in the emergency department of County General, one of the main public hospitals in Chicago. The series portrays nurses as caring and competent, and it focuses considerably on the personal life of one of the nurses. ER was first aired in the year 1994, and it was discontinued in 2009.
Hawthorne
Hawthorne is one of TNT’s most popular medical dramas. The dramatic story of this series is told from the point of view of a nurse called Christina Hawthorne, who is played by Jada Pinkett Smith. Christina is the chief nursing officer in a hospital, and she is committed to find solutions for a wide range of problems, including poor patient services and budget cuts. Hawthorne debuted in 2009, and it is still being aired today.

Nurses is actually a spin-off of the popular series Empty Nest, and it revolves around several nurses who are working at a Miami Hospital. Stars of the series included Mary Jo Keenen, Stephanie Hodge, and Ada Maris. NBC decided to cancel the series at the end of its third season in 1994.

Jackie is played by Edi Falco, and other members of the cast include Eve Best, Merritt Wever, Paul Schulze, Peter Facinelli, and Haaz Sleiman. The series was first aired in 2009, and it is still running.

Nurse is a drama series that was shown from 1980 to 1982. Set in New York City, it revolves around a middle-aged widow called Mary Benjamin, who tries to start a new life as a head nurse at the Grant Memorial Hospital. The cast of the series included Michael Learned, Robert Reed, Judith Barcroft, Julie Bovasso, Hortensia Colorado, Bonnie Hellman, and others.
Janet Dean, Registered Nurse
Ella Raines played Janet Dean in this excellent 1950s television series about nursing. Janet becomes a private nurse after she was discharged from the United States Air Force, and she travels to many places around the country to not only treat the physical illnesses of patients, but their mental ailments as well. Each episode ends with vignettes about nursing. The series ran for two years, from 1954 to 1955.
