since it comes from the house of Google, one would think that developing apps for the glass must be similar to developing them for any random android device. However, this isn’t true. There is a lot that is different. So, anyone who claims to be an experienced Google glassware developer is probably not experienced at all.

Google Glass web development has come up with unprecedented gusto. With the date of its open release approaching more and more companies are pushing their talents to the limits in order to come up with Google Glassware that is par excellence.
However, things aren’t always as easy as they seem, especially when it comes to any form of new technology. Similarly for the Glass, not a lot of people know what to expect. So when it comes to Google Glass Web Development, it’s like venturing into a completely new space for the first time.
Development unlike Android
So, since it comes from the house of Google, one would think that developing apps for the glass must be similar to developing them for any random android device. However, this isn’t true. There is a lot that is different. So, anyone who claims to be an experienced Google glassware developer is probably not experienced at all.
What should a designer do?
There might not be any foolproof designing solution to any kind of application, but there are of course things that if taken care of will definitely prove to be helpful. Based on that, there are a few things that in my estimation are the correct things to do whilst approaching Google glass application development. They are:
Minimalism is the key to maximization
The screen of the glass is minute. Nonexistent even. So, in order to make certain that you are capable of passing on all the information to the user in one attempt itself without having to flick pages after pages, you have to clinch up to minimalistic designs. This will help your user focus on the right things at the right time without having to mind-numbingly turn page after page to get to the core of the matter.
Use less human effort
It is nice to connect the user in doing some procedures to get the preferred results but with a thingamajig so new, it is best to give the user a little familiarization time. Ensure that the obligation of the user to do something is bare minimum, because he is very new to using Google glass. He might not know everything about the mechanism and engaging him to do things he has no inkling about might put him off from using the doohickey altogether.
Limit your creativity
People always appreciate creativity; however, unless you know how to strike a balance between creativity and downright lunacy, your creativity might just get tossed out the window. So, you as a designer (or the owner of an app) must know exactly how much creativity you are willing to put up on the block. Do you want things to be simple so the user gets what you are trying to say? Or, in an attempt to reinvent the wheel, you are going to risk losing out on all your prospective clients?
Conclusion
On the whole, the best way to design your apps is to ensure that you have exhausted every possible avenue for research. Read what your competitors are doing, what your preferred audience is expecting and how your potential market is behaving. Once you know all of this, it will become much easier for you to launch Google glassware because it will be more effective and will positively give you better returns.
