Goa is the tiniest state of India situated in the Konkan Coast. With some of the most interesting features to boot, Goa is a premier tourism destination in India. Sandy beaches, safe seas, exotic wildlife sanctuaries, monuments of colonial architecture, eco – tourism spots, carnival like spirit of people and diverse geographical terrain – the attractions Goa holds in its chest for a discerning tourist are multifarious.

Goa Tour packages primarily gives first importance to Goan beaches as the reputation of Goa is almost synonymous with beaches. The sandy beaches of Goa fringed by coconut trees are tempting for relaxing in sun with or without protection. The seas are absolutely safe and with the confidence of having lifeguards round the corner, you can confidently swim or play in the waves. Walking along the beaches, while the waves caress your feet, feeling the sand escape through fingers like a fugitive, is a heavenly experience. The important beaches of Goa are Arambol, Mandrem, Morjim, Vagator, Anjuna, Baga, Calangute, Sinquerim, Miramar in the North and Majorda, Betalbatim, Colva, Benaulim, Varca, Cavelossim and Palolem in the south. There are arrangements for different adventure sports like Scuba Diving, Water Scootering, Para Sailing, Wind Surfing and Water Skiing on the beaches.

Although Goa is tantamount to beaches, there is much to Goa than beaches. The Western Ghats lying to the east of Goa is a hot bio diversity spot. It is even declared a bio-diversity spot by UNESCO. It is a region blessed by diverse flora and fauna and there are many wildlife and bird sanctuaries which are havens for nature enthusiasts and lovers. They are Bondla wildlife sanctuary, Molem wildlife sanctuary, Cotigao wildlife sanctuary, Madei wildlife sanctuary, Netravali wildlife sanctuary, Mahaveer wildlife sanctuary and Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. Goa Packages will certainly include them.

A trip to interiors in Goa tourism will have you savor history by the way side. Monuments of colonial architecture stand testimony to a bygone era. Apart from them you can see many churches built in Portuguese style architecture. Prominent of them are Se Cathedral, Basilica of Bom Jesus (a UNESCO world heritage site), Church of Lady of Rosary, Chapel of St. Catherine, Church of Carmelites, Church of St. Cajetan, Chapel of St. Francis Xavier etc. In addition to that there are amazing temples and forts, some with Portuguese architectural influence and some not. More gorgeous of temples are Shree Bhagavati Temple, Brahma Temple, Shree Chandranath Temple, Datta Mandir, Shree Gopal Ganapathi Temple, Kamakshi Saunsthan Shiroda, Madanant Temple and Navdurga Saunsthan. More famous of forts are Aguada Fort, Cabo De Rama Fort, Chapora Fort, Mormuagao Fort and Tiracol Fort.

As far as the weather goes, the climatic conditions are usually temperate except during monsoons. Due to the protective guard of Western Ghats and nearness of Konkan region to sea, the weather is pleasant and sunny most of the times.

As for the modern trend of eco tourism there are many spice plantations which accept tourists to their lap with their unique attractions. You can spend a cozy time in the lap of nature if you nod yes to those invitations.
