However, one great thing with the city is that if you have the energy, you can explore the city within a couple of days. This is why thousands of people gather here in every weekend.
Life is Barcelona is full of joy and fun. You will find people gathered all over the pedestrian streets even in the late night. There are some of the brilliant cuisines that are exclusive of Barcelona. Another great thing is certainly the Barcelona Bus tours. The buses are accessible from any part of the city and they will take you everywhere you would like to go. So, if you are looking to explore the city without wasting too much of time, the buses would be your favorite option. However, there are certain things that you need to ensure that you enjoy your Barcelona Tour.
There are plenty of hop on and hop off buses in Barcelona. However, there are basically two major routes in which the buses run – the one in the north of the city, while the other is in the south. They are marked by the red and blue lines respectively. These two routes connect at the Placa de Catalunya in the west end. Now, the fun with the buses is that you can enjoy rides on both the routes for all day with one single ticket.
Also, there are one and two day tickets available. They will provide you with some discounts on other transportations in and around the city as well. There are buses in every 20 minutes and if you don’t get off from it, a bus will complete your trip within half a day. But, in reality it will take more time as you will have to come down from the bus to enjoy the beauty of the sites.
Among the different places to visit, the La Sagrada Familia or the Church of the Holy Family is certainly at the top. This is the most iconic construction of the city. The design was invented by the famous architect Antoni Gaudi. This breathtaking cathedral has been under construction for more than a century. And still, it will take a couple of decades for the work to be complete. Naturally, you would like to spend some time by just standing in front of this massive construction.
Another place that you would love to visit is the Parc Guell. Though around 3 miles from the inland, you would love the trip. This too, was actually designed by Gaudi. Originally meant to be a garden city, the park is now filled with serene gardens, mosaics, and sculptures.
Gothic Quarter is another very interesting place to visit. Since the Roman times, this part has been inhabited by people. The ruins of some of the magnificent buildings still bear the testimony of that.
