Its economy is hugely dependent on oil and gas reserves like other cities of the Persian Gulf. Literally meaning ‘The Big Tree’ in Arabic, Doha is currently in its boom period with large scale developments carried out across the city. The modernization program is being implemented successfully with attainment of progress on various fronts. After the prevalence of cosmopolitan culture and diversified economy in Dubai and Abu Dhabi to some extent, it is the turn of the city of Doha. The first sector to attract attention and experience gargantuan developments in Doha is the real estate. In wake of the growing population in Qatar, the demand for property has been witnessing an upward trend. In fact, the reason why acquiring jobs in Qatar offer tough competition is that it is one of the most expat friendly countries of the Middle East.
