Article contains information over employment opportunities in Doha; jobs in Doha are available for well qualified and highly experienced expatriates who are ready to offer their services for a higher salary.
Doha, the capital of Qatar, is the economic center of the country and houses more than 80% of its population. Its economy is hugely dependent on oil and gas reserves like other cities of the Persian Gulf. The diversification move by the government has led to burgeoning of jobs in Doha across various emerging industries.

Literally meaning ‘The Big Tree’ in Arabic, Doha is currently in its boom period with large scale developments carried out across the city. The modernization program is being implemented successfully with attainment of progress on various fronts. After the prevalence of cosmopolitan culture and diversified economy in Dubai and Abu Dhabi to some extent, it is the turn of the city of Doha. The first sector to attract attention and experience gargantuan developments in Doha is the real estate. In wake of the growing population in Qatar, the demand for property has been witnessing an upward trend. One of the primary reasons for the growth in population is the mission diversification as it has led to import of large number of professional experts from around the world. With a plethora of jobs in Doha paying attractive remuneration coupled with comforting lifestyle, it is increasingly becoming a preferred career destination.

Construction jobs in Doha are available for well qualified and highly experienced expatriates who are ready to offer their services for a higher salary. Expatriates are hired at all levels to support the growing economy but on contractual basis. The countries in Middle East do not wish expatriates to stay forever as they want to focus more on the local population. But they respect the migrants too for their invaluable contribution to the economy’s growth and pay them accordingly. It is important for expats to explore the city they are moving to by gaining knowledge on its customs and lifestyle followed; the laws to abide by; the dress code; the cost of living; the professional environment like timings and work culture; the places for recreation and various other things. The information on such elements is extremely important in order to adjust to the new surroundings in absence of acquaintances especially as the style of living in the region is hugely different from others.

Staying away from family and working in an unfamiliar environment is not an easy task and this is why jobs in Middle East pay hefty sums of money to foreign workers. But this does not mean that local workforce is ignored, they think equally well for them too but the lack of trained manpower forces employers to recruit experts from outside the region. As a result, government is spreading education among the locals and training the capable manpower in modern skills. Updating the natives with current technology is instrumental to boost the economy as well as to reduce dependence on outside help. Jobs in Doha will then be largely available to its citizens with a minority of expatriates being called for employment.

Currently, the numbers of migrants exceed those of the locals as both male and female professionals from abroad shift to Qatar on work purposes. There is no discrimination faced by female workers though they are expected to dress modestly. Non-Qataris are treated with equal respect as locals and can lead a luxurious life without coming across any bias or prejudice. In fact, the reason why acquiring jobs in Qatar offer tough competition is that it is one of the most expat friendly countries of the Middle East. From cultural flexibility to equal treatment (between males and females as well as locals and expats) to facilitating convenience for migrants (by setting up international schools and extending thousands of jobs), Qatar has it all!
