Gains and Losses of Life is Always Zero

Everything in this world, there is always gains and losses. Love can give you joy, but it also give you pain; wealth can give you enjoyment, but it will bring distress; success makes you happy, but after the failure, when the pain becomes intense, you cannot tolerate it.

If you expect a certain thing and you get, it is a pleasure. However, on the contrary, when you lose, you will feel the same amount of sadness. For example, when you get, you will obtain eight points’ happiness, otherwise, when you lose, you will have eight points’ sorrow, the total number is almost the same.

Some people get wealth, they may have lost health, family, or emotion; and someone lose some in the career and achievements, but get some in the quality of life, health or freedom of more time. Some things may seem unfair, if you reflect on down, it is fair.

Some people think that rich people is happier, this is wrong. A poor man can get a few hundred pieces of happiness, but after he has money, he may take several thousand, or even hundreds of thousands to get the same pleasure. The more money you have, the less value of money will have; when your stomach is hungry, if someone give you a bread, you will feel that is delicious, but when you eat five pieces of bread, you will not think so.

The people who have too much money are afraid of being stolen and robbed; the people who have a big house are afraid of cleaning it; while those who eat too much are afraid of being fat. You see, rich people are now advocating eating whole grains, which is to health.

It reminds me of a story. There was a fox, one day it saw there were grape vines knotting full of tempting fruits in the walls. Fox coveted, it looked for the entrance everywhere, and finally found a small hole, but the hole was too small, its body could not enter into it. Thus, it had a hunger strike outside the wall for six days, making it thin, and finally through the hole, then it was happy to eat the grapes.
