In this queue General Motors is not an exception and company is also planning to line up most of its petrol variants with its diesel variants. The prime reason behind this change of game is the regular hike in petrol price in India which forced the Indian car buyers to move towards the diesel cars. Keeping this in mind the Indian subsidiary of General Motors is going to launch its diesel variant of Chevrolet Beat Diesel by the end of this month.</p> <p>Karl Sylm, President and Managing Director of General Motors India has stated that company will continue to do the same with its other models too. As the diesel cars were in great demand General Motors India will enhance the diesel components to their car models like Chevrolet Spark and Chevrolet Aveo U-VA. Furthermore the president of GM India expressed that the variation in price of petrol and diesel is too much in India, they are just the horses of different colors. However, the change in the petrol price is the decision of government, hence all car manufacturing players geared up to meet the customers requirement.</p> <p>The Talegaon plant of General Motors in Maharashtra is building engines with a capacity of 1.5 litres. The latest model of General Motors India, Chevrolet Beat is composed of 1 litre engine with three cylinders which is also manufactures in this plant.
