Four Tips for Spring Cleaning, Have Junk Pick Up on Standby

There may be a need for junk pick up in your house, and you may not even realize it! You’ll probably be surprised at all the junk that’s accumulated over time. 1. Start at one end of the space you are cleaning out. Don't waste time by losing track of what you've already gone through. It's important to stay organized as you clean.

2. Beginning at one side of the space, pick out the large items first and decide whether you're going to leave them out for junk pick up or if you'd prefer to keep them. Create a pile for the items you have gone through but plan on keeping.

3. With the large items you are getting rid of, move them immediately out to a place where they can be left for junk pick up. This will get them out of your way so that you have space to move around.

4. After the large items are out of the way, begin going through the boxes and smaller items one at a time. Sort boxes into "keep" boxes and boxes to be placed outside for junk pickup.

Remember that with bulky items, you will have to take them to the recycling center and pay a fee to dump them. If you don't want to deal with that hassle, then you could pay a company that does junk pick up to take them for you.

If you find yourself with a huge pile of trash, then you could also look into bin rentals because there is nothing more unsightly than a pile of junk that's sitting around just waiting for the regular trash collection day to finally roll around.
