More importantly is when we see updates we can really know if the developer is alive. Finding a great niche where we see apps with no updates can tell us the developer quit or lost hope. So why did he stop updating? Not worth it? No revenue? All these factors are important to understand and analyze.
Reading user engagement. When we read reviews we can understand what the users want and by reading it we can start to understand the market. What their audience wants and what those apps are failing to deliver. I know everyone reads about “give the users what the users want” but in this case I just want to invite you to do a bit better, don’t overdo it.
