Stop pushing away things that can bring fulfillment, enjoyment and happiness to your life.
I went to the “Make Me Think” website and read a little story that someone went to visit his (or her I’ve no idea) mother with his father. Father picked a flower from his garden and placed it on mother’s grave. I had tears in my eyes when I reached to the words that father said- “I just wish I had picked her a fresh flower every day when she was alive.” And it reminded me of the flowers that I gave to my parents for their wedding anniversary, and the smiles on their faces.

Someone used to told me that our lives can be long enough that you can live for over several tens of years, but the life is short for it may end up with a small accident.

Do not delay anything until the “perfect time” in some day in the future. The perfect time won’t come until you find you miss the best opportunity to do it. At that time, regrets for our hesitation will drive people crazy. There’s no way you can predict what’s going to happen. Well, at least not if you are like most humans.

Take a break from your work and think about all those things that you’ve wanted to do, but never did, because you thought they were silly or waited for the “when” time (when you had more spare time, when you get rich, etc.). But have you noticed how this thoughts slowly sucking the enjoyment out of your life?

Every people seem busy all year round, even though they think they should take some time for movies, or just for something they really love. But the truth is you can put the work aside (work that not in emergency) and do something that you want to do. There are always lessons to be learned.

For example, if you are learning a language. Most people will start with studying grammar, word lists and so on. But if you are a person who has a tendency to want to get things down as soon as possible, it may be not a good learning method for it takes a lot of time and needs more patience.

So you can start with watching TV-series and movies, listen to the broadcasting programs, read books in that language, or even talk with the native speakers. They can not only help you in learning the language, but also ensure that the way of using the language is the most frequently used in daily conversations. Well, you don’t want to learn a language but never want to use it, do you?

You may take a day off and watch a series of TV plays. Well… I may be a little overdone, but at least you are learning a language! Meet people especially the kind native speakers, you can probably get more friends, and it is also a way for some people to cure the social phobia.

Enjoying the current moment is more important than reaching any goal. If you cannot enjoy what you are doing, then why keeping on doing it? It is more likely to work best when people can immerse themselves in something for an extend period of time. They can be more focus on what they are doing and get more from it. If you like the thing you are doing, you will be more likely to concentrate your attention.

There’s a reason you feel drawn to do the things you want to do. If you don’t start following your excitement today, when will you? As I said in the beginning of this article, there’s no perfect time for something until you start right now.

Stop pushing away the things that can bring fulfillment, enjoyment and happiness to your life. Time will never come. Follow your heart and start doing.
