PST files are subjected to matter of corruption. To fix the pst corruption problems you can go for scanpst.exe. However at times it fails to fix the problem as such you can take assistance of third party application.

In the search pane select the all files and folders radio button and type scanpst.exe. Before doing it Enable the option of show hidden files and folders because it is a hidden file
now click on search. You may find scanpst.exe windows 7 in the result of the search
double click and open that file
locate that tool and click to initiate the repair process
now close the tool and open the PST file

Even after using this tool the issue remains unsolved then instead of scanpst.exe windows 7 use third party software for repairing the pst corruption and recover data from it.

when my pst files got corrupted i used scanpst.exe windows 7 but unfortunately it failed. Then I used commercial pst repair software.
