'Data File Did Not Close' Error Message in MS Outlook 2007 is a fatal error that can cause severe corruption in PST files and making it inaccessible for the users.
Outlook is indeed a very powerful and useful application from Microsoft for the purpose of sending/receiving emails, creating calendar entries, saving messages, appointments etc. All the data created in Outlook are stored in a particular file format bearing .pst file format. 3. restart MS Outlook if the PST file was forcefully shut down

The best thing would be to scan the file using the Outlook tool called Scanpst.exe. It is present under the Program Files under C Drive. Try to repair the file using this tool and still the file generate problem, one needs to use any professional 3rd party PST Repair software that can remove the corruption from the file using smart scanning and powerful methods of algorithm and programming.
