Perhaps you are not aware, but your home theater wiring is a big factor on the way your home theater system works. Even if most all-in-one home theater systems around has already include wires for you to hook things up, not all of them are made of quality cables.
Sad to say, these poor quality wires or cables can definitely cause some interference as well as weakening of signals that come from the sound sources found in your home theater setup and could affect the whole experience. Although at first, they do perform well, they can deteriorate later and faster than quality cables. The home theater wiring definitely spells a big difference for the entire sound and picture quality that is why it is worth to upgrade to a much better one. Here you will find some helpful tips to achieve better results.
Find only the best quality cable available- When your system requires only several different types of cables to choose from then its best to go for the most advance one. Example of this is the HDMI cables. These cables are known as the best type to transfer or give higher quality of audio and pictures.
Avoid bending those cables- As much as possible don’t let the cables bend. Bending of cables can damage the signal. Having too short cables would force you to stretch them out. So, it’s better to find longer ones and change the location of your equipment to give more space to your cables.
Don’t use extra long cables- It is necessary to have long cables that are enough to connect the wires and bridge the gap but it must not be that much because the longer these cables are the greater the chance that the signal quality would suffer.
Stay away from interference- Another home theater wiring tip is to stay away from interference. You can do this by keeping the signal cords to be at least few inches apart from the power cords. Having them close to each other can cause interference.
Have correct cables for walls- You must also check if you use the right cables when your home theater wiring also goes into your walls. Safe for use are the UL-rated cables which also mean that they have CL2 and CL3 label. Don’t avoid going into trouble just to find the best and quality cables around because after all, you won’t have a hard time to replace them once they got damaged.
