<h1>First Hello Drupal training organized in Dharamshala</h1><strong> Author: <a href='http://www.articleseen.com/profile_Srijan Drupal.aspx'>Srijan Drupal</a></strong><br /><p>A simple search on jobs sites for Drupal developers shows some interesting results. Delhi has close to 130 developers and many drupal training centers, Chandigarh has just 15 resumes listed and the state of Himachal Pradesh has none. Well the last stat is not correct as Srijan office in Dharamshala has 8 Drupal developers and looking for more too. Drupal being a community driven project and having received so much from the community, it is important for us to work towards building a larger community of developers. After all, more the merrier, right! Finally, we could start work on a long pending task to initiate a series of Hello Drupal training in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The first such training was organized on 25 September 2011 at Mcleodganj, Dharamshala. Shashank, a senior Drupal developer with Srijan, introduced Drupal to the developer's community in Dharamshala. In an engaging Drupal training session lasting 3 hours, the participants were introduced to installation of Drupal, basic concepts about modules, themes, and career opportunities in Drupal. Twenty-one participants from different parts of the world came together on a Sunday afternoon at Common Grounds Cafe in Mcleodganj to talk about their interests in Drupal. Setting the tone for the event, I talked about how the Drupal training is designed to introduce participants not only to learn Drupal but also to help build connections between developers of Indian, Tibetan and other foreign origins staying in Dharamshala. The workshop was hosted by Wen (Common Grounds project) who provided us with all the logistics for Drupal training. David Huang helped capture various moments with his SLR. Walkers List fame, James was there to try his hand at Drupal. Of-course, the training would not have been possible without his support and timely invites to developers in Dharamshala. Drupal technology of web content management is used to create online trading sites. Drupal Technology website applications are used to build any kind of internet portal, websites based on e commerce, online stores and even corporate websites. The software is extremely dynamic and can be utilized to create any kind of website; in fact, it has also been used to create online directories and e-learning sites. This technology can successfully create, instant messenger, it can also be used to include audio and video facilities in the sites along with photo galleries. This content management system is completely secured and safe. According to the personal requirement of the site projects, Drupal can easily enable the customization of its websites thereby making it unique and a favorite of the developers. Websites constructed by this technology has resulted in easy and effective ranking in the search engines. Just a quick note on Drupal training: We do both, free as well as paid trainings on Drupal. Free ones normally last 3 hours and are called 'Hello Drupal' while the paid ones are a day long course named 'Drupal in a Day'. Srijan is an Acquia partner for these trainings in India.
