Positive feedback and hope is what someone suffering from a mental illness needs to recover their mental health.
For some, finding meaning in the world can be difficult. Everyone is different, reacts to situations differently and has experienced unique events throughout their life. Mental health is something taken for granted by many while others suffer from an illness day in and day out and experience a form of depression. But regardless of the situation, it is important to realize you are worthwhile.

Sometimes it takes a friendly reminder or a pat on the back to realize just how special or important each human is. This is particularly true if you are suffering from depression or some kind of low self-esteem. So whether you are feeling worthless, suffering from a mental illness, or are just feeling a little blue, you are worthwhile!

One of the most important things to keep in mind is that you are not alone in the fight. There are millions of people just like you searching for answers, help and reassurance. No matter how bad things may seem, there is always someone in a similar or worse situation than yourself.

Mental health is a fragile piece of the puzzle to every human and opening up to others is crucial. Of course, no one will be able to understand exactly how you feel. But letting them into your world to catch a glimpse of how hard things have been may be what you need to persevere and move on.

Mental health varies from person to person and is no laughing matter by any means. For some, it can even be the difference between life and death. But getting the proper help and mental training or seeking a listening shoulder that you trust is a must.

The best support is someone that does not say they understand what you are going through or the person that tells you to keep your chin up. The best support comes from the person that listens to everything you have to say and asks to hear more. The person that says their door is always open and consistently calls to ask how you are doing is who you want to associate yourself with.

Positive feedback and hope is what someone suffering from a mental illness needs to recover their mental health. Recovering and moving past the hard times is not an overnight process. But with support from the ones that care about you most and know you, you can move on to live a healthy and fulfilling life full of happiness. The key is reaching out and asking for the support.
