This article is mainly based on different types of equations and how to solve equations in a better, easier and faster manner. In our student life, we move towards higher educations or grades. Our math problems become tougher and more complex. As sometimes our equations come with fractions, decimals. A daily little practice and hard work will help you to get confidence. One thing to remember is that there is no alternative of hard work.

Before proceeding further, we need to understand is that what is an equation? An equation is basically a condition on the variable. An equation is of many types like linear equation, quadratic equation, differential equation, partial differential equation etc.

algebraic expressions is basically an expression having one or more variables made up of signs and symbols of algebra. An algebraic expression is an expression having one or more variables . It can also contain symbols of addition, subtraction, multiplication or division. For example:

3 + 2x

here, x is the variable, + is the mathematical operator and 2 is the coefficient of x . Elementary algebra, Abstract algebra, Linear algebra and Universal algebra are the different parts of Algebra.

Now we are going to see what linear and differential equation means. In simple mathematical manner we can say that any equation that when graphed produces a straight line, then the equation is called as Linear Equation. The common form of a linear equation in the two variables like x and y is

y = mx + b

where x and y are two variables and m and b are two constants.

The constant m determines the slope or gradient of that line and the constant b shows the point at which line crosses the Y-axis. Constant b is also known as Y-Intercept. The conditions onto which linear equation stays are: Variables in a linear equation cannot have exponents or powers for example x2 . Variables cannot divide or multiply each other in a linear equation. Like xy or x/y .

Variables cannot be found under a root sign or square root sign for example √x.

Differential Equation is an equation which involve dependent variables and their derivatives with respect to the independent variables or we can say that It is an equation involving derivatives of a function or functions. It plays an important role in various fields like engineering, physics, economics and other sections also.
