Environmental risk assessment is an important step to identify the possible risks and avoid it so as to protect people from harms and other life threatening events. It includes not only the work place but also living environment and premises which man uses. Although in some cases we can go for a direct environmental risk assessment and then find a solution for it, still it is not an easy game.

Environmental risk assessment though a difficult at its first sight, can be effectively simplified through various measures starting from the very basic things and resulting in adequate precautions which may protect people from dangers that may come in future. It is also a legal commitment in case of institutions that employ people in their work places, which means that the working place should be assessed well for the health related or any other risks which are possible to happen any time.
Environmental risk assessment also focuses on deciding the vulnerability of the resources either natural or manmade. Environmental risk assessment include a vast area of consideration, it may be based on geographical hazards or physical hazards and of course the mental hazards too which all may arise from environment within which man works or lives in. When literally reviewed, it includes very well structured and systematic procedures whose ultimate goal is to assess and manage the uncertainty associated with any threat in the surrounding or the habitat .once we peep into a brief procedure in risk management, and then there are simply 3 steps. One is the assessment, then the strategies to manage it and the third includes the risk mitigation using managerial resources. This means environmental risk assessment does not focus itself only on the risks but also on the various steps to remove it.
It may be either by transferring the risk to another area or omission of the risk factors, reduction of the negative effects etc. Risk assessment also should be implied at the apt time and place, and this can be done only if one has a basic idea of what a real risk in his or her environment is. Here is where the observation and interpretation has its real importance. Beyond the knowledge and scientific analysis, one thing that every human being should have is the ability to critically observe one’s surroundings and understands its limitations. This is because every natural phenomenon will start from the nature itself and the people who live in this true environment are the one who first experience any effect. So even if it is in work places, any kind of risks should be first studied and managed from the grass root level. Environmental risk assessment is also important in case of diseases too. This is when the endemic and epidemics begin to invade our environment. Here it is another serious issue because it may carve out the real resources of a nation which are the human beings. So proper health education programs should be implemented here so as to prevent and protect the possible hazards.
