Another important thing to consider when you want to propose is time. Does she give any sign that she wants to settle down or she far too way thinking about it? If she is a career woman, she might be at the peak of her career and marriage is not yet an option. You should find the best timing for your proposal so that it will not be rejected.
Lastly, you should consult your parents about your decision. Though you are already standing on your own feet still our parents knows what's the best for us. Their blessings would lead you to a better future.
