Kabul is the capital of Afghanistan and an economic and cultural centre of the state. It is a 3000 year old country, strategically located along the trade routes of South and Central Asia. Kabul is being redeveloped after long been the target of rebel groups and is under a reconstruction process.
The climate of Kabul is warm and moderate for most of the year with low humidity while winters are short. The population of the city reflects multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and multi-confessional characteristics of Afghanistan. The education in Kabul has also improved after several schools and colleges reopened in 2002. Some of the known education institutes include International School of Kabul, American University of Afghanistan, Dawat University, Kabul Medical University, Polytechnical University of Kabul, National Military Academy of Afghanistan, etc.
Kabul, on its way of development has a number of banks, hotels, shopping malls, museums, mosques, parks, mausoleums, etc. A concept design called the City of Light Development has been proposed for multi-function commercial, historic and cultural development of the city. Many national and international NGOs (non-government organizations) are also involved in various activities to assist development and provide humanitarian relief to victims in Afghanistan.
Kabul has been a manifestation of power and reign but continuous conflicts led to destruction of its urban identity. Since, different political and social opinions exist within the country, the major challenge is drafting a unified development strategy. It is currently competing with local, regional and western inspirations in the process of rebuilding. It is believed that restoration of Kabul’s urbanism will be instrumental in restructuring Afghanistan on the whole. Its plan for next five years has identified security, governance and economic and social development as priority areas.
The comprehensive work performed to reconstruct the city is evident of the fact that Kabul and its economy are in a developmental phase. It is being re-shaped by international organizations, reconstructed from scratch and thus, it has a huge scope for growth in coming decades. The economy of Kabul is expected to become a blend of both agricultural and urban sector. Administrative, commercial and service sectors are found to be of major interest to the locals. These sectors anyway demand lot of attention, offering huge scope for employment.
There is an immense need for workforce in Kabul and in order to cater to this need, Employment Services Centres in Afghanistan has been setup. Both natives planning to return to the country and expatriates/ outsiders are finding these employment centers a useful way of getting jobs in Afghanistan. The needs of jobseekers and employers are met on this common platform as both are able to meet each other. On one hand, employers get trained staff while jobseekers get jobs in Kabul on the other.
Jobs in Kabul are available across all levels and all fields possible. From directorial positions to managerial to executive levels, firms are hiring both skilled and semi-skilled workers. Some of the vacancies available in Kabul are:

Construction sector is booming in Kabul as constant bombings and military attacks had devastated the infrastructure. Jobs in construction are in plenty and so, are in the beverage industry of Kabul. Jobs in Middle East provide abundant opportunities to expatriates looking for employment overseas. Jobs in Gulf, UAE and Middle East are already a favorite among foreigners as they are high paying and offer tax-free salaries. The primary reason for generating employment in Kabul is the paramount objective of its rebuilding. Another could be as said by Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, ‘Men who work have no time for war’.
