You can catch mice with supplies you already have in your own home!
Did you know that, if you want to get rid of mice in your home, you don't have to buy anything or hire anyone? You can make a mouse trap (humane or lethal) with materials that you already have in your house...

If you don't want any killing involved, follow these steps to make a humane mouse trap. First, get your materials together. You'll need a bucket, an empty toilet paper roll, a long and flat piece of cardboard, and a box. Place the cardboard so that it acts as a ramp, leading to the top of the box. The longer the cardboard is, the better, because it will be easier for the mouse to get up and onto the box.

For the next step, flatten your toilet paper roll so that it can rest on a flat surface without rolling anywhere. Place the flattened toilet paper roll on the other side of the box so that three-quarters of it is sticking out into the air. This way, once the mouse gets inside the roll, it will fall under its own weight. Right below the flattened toilet paper roll, place a bucket for the mouse to rest in. Finally, dab traces of peanut butter so that the mouse goes up the ramp, on top of the box, into the tube, and in the bucket. Don't add too much peanut butter before the tube because you risk the mouse being too satisfied with the meal.

If you want a lethal version of this trap, simply fill the bucket with water, which will drown the mouse. If you have steps on your house, which you know the mouse will visit, you can skip having to make a ramp onto a box and just place the roll on a step, with a bucket right below it.

If you don't have a toilet paper roll, or a box, you can make a homemade mouse trap with just a cardboard ramp, a bucket, an empty soda can, and a piece of wire. Get an empty soda can and place a piece of wire through the center of it so that it can rest on top of the bucket. Place a ramp, leading up to the wire and dab some peanut butter on the can. Once the mouse tries to get the peanut butter, it will fall into the bucket because it will be like a person trying to walk on a log in water. If you want to make this trap lethal, add water into the bucket.
