Students in today’s times have to be careful as they cannot escape the clutches of entrance exams. Almost every aspect of education and job is being governed by the presence of an exam, qualifying in which will help the students or other professionals to step into a career that they are trying to attempt. Now that, the entrance exams have become a way of life, it is important that people accept the fact that it is their performances in the entrance exams that can build their careers.

EAMCET or engineering, medical and architecture common entrance test is a test conducted in the state of Andhra Pradesh for admissions into these three courses in different government and private colleges and universities of the state. Usually the exam of EAMCET is conducted during the month of May, and is an opportunity for the students to get into the colleges and subjects of their choice. In Andhra Pradesh, there are many colleges related to medical, engineering as well as architecture under many universities.

Conducting the entrance exams for each of the colleges or the universities, is not only a taxing proposition for the institutes, but also makes the students confused as to the colleges in which they would find seats. There must be some good colleges into which people would be seeking admissions, but are not able to get through the colleges, as on an individual basis, each colleges has less number of seats in comparison to the total number of students, had all the students applied for all the institutes.

Another important observation that could have been a reason for the conceptualisation of a single window exam is that the same students would be getting the ranks in all the entrance tests, thereby not allowing the lower ranked students to find admissions in any college. But these rank holders could only get admissions in any one college and not in all the colleges where they have secured the ranks. Also, some students would have wanted to study in a particular institute due to its proximity to their native place.

There could be many reasons like these for the students in choosing their institutes. To streamline the method of examination and to distribute the opportunity, the EAMCET was thought of and this is now the current trend. EAMCET 2012 would be, therefore an equal opportunity exam, thus allowing students to concentrate on the entrance exams and give their full fledged attention to the entrance tests. Now, people would have to apply for a single entrance exam, irrespective of the college or course that they are planning to pursue.

During the day or days of exams, the students would be directed to sit in the respective papers in different sittings depending on the subject choice that they make. This helps the students in a way by not being tensed up about looking up for the different entrance exams. A lot of advantages of the engineering, medical and architecture common entrance test are there, and these have been the intricately woven reasons for their stupendous success as well as acceptance.
