No doubt actors of big screen are quite popular than the small screen thespians this is why the actors are roped in by the filmmakers to play either as a host or a cameo in the serial. So, do they guarantee TRP ratings because of their presence in desi TV shows?

It is not necessary that whether the TV programs have roped in the actors of big screen or any other anchors. What is necessary is the TV programs must standby the choice of the audiences and it is through them the TRP ratings increases. Anupam Kher soon made up his mind to leave the TV show and was replaced by well known television and film actor Ahutosh Rana.

So, looking into the success of the above two TV shows we can decide by own that whether the Bollywood actors guarantee TRP and encourage the audiences to move to their TV sets. But yes seeing to some other TV programs that met with huge audience response where "Kaun Banega Crorepati" which spanned for 5 season that was aired in Sony TV USA and was hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. Similar to it "Bigg Boss" spanned for 5 seasons while Salman Khan a notified Bollywood actor was roped in to host the show. The TV shows have huge TRP ratings which is more than the movies. The line can be seen at the ticket counter, if the movie is a massive hit then the counter spawns with population if not the numbers can be counted. Whereas, TV programs are packed with regular audiences 24*7, people often glue to their TV sets more than the cinema theaters. This encourages the Bollywood celebs to promote their upcoming movies through them.

The TRP ratings does not depend on a Bollywood star whether his presence is mandatory or optional. What counts at the end of the day is whether the TV program stood by the audiences expectation?
