• Just after surgery, it is good to take liquid food like soup and juice than gradually move to solid food but make sure to eat slowly and chew completely before swallowing.
• Avoid drinking while eating as it makes you feel full even you have not taken diet. If you drink while eating, it will cause dumping syndrome and vomiting.
• Avoid food items with sugar like ice cream or desserts.
• Don’t eat high-calorie nutritional supplements, fat rich food items, carbonated drinks, milk shakes and also foods that have low or zero nutritional value.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol too.
• Also you need to limit your snacking habit (if any) between meals.
