Creativity is such a skill that we require in every step of our life. Whether it’s about dealing with a particular situation or presenting yourself before others, every particular work does need creativity. When we were kids, we used to imagine different shapes and forms in the clouds.

Creativity is such a skill that we require in every step of our life. Whether it’s about dealing with a particular situation or presenting yourself before others, every particular work does need creativity. When we were kids, we used to imagine different shapes and forms in the clouds. It was one of our favorite games to search for new shapes in the clouds. We didn’t realize that, it was only our creative imagination that had given birth to these shapes. This particular skill develops when we become engage into some activity. For example, a child can never learn to speak creatively unless the child gets involved into some conversation. There are different ways and tools that help the child to nurture the creative part of them. Some of the ways and tools are briefly discussed below:-
• Toys- Play is one of the most important activities that every kid requires in the initial years of the life. Toys are the tools that facilitate this activity of physical engagement. There are different toys that are available in the market that help a lot in the mental development of the kids. Age appropriate toys may work as a positive tool for the kids to develop fully. Moreover, the toys can also help develop the motor skills among the young kids
• Music- Music is called the soul of nature. It stimulates our body and mind. Music can be a good tool for the growing up kids. When kids get engaged in playing any of the musical instruments, they actually start following a particular routine. Moreover, it has been seen that kids love to play with new tunes and tracks while playing music. This develops the creative part in the kids
• Stories- Bedtime stories are a favorite for every child. Our mother and grandmother tell us these stories that most of the times contain moral values also. These stories contain different life teaching morals and messages that are important for us to survive in this world. These stories also help in nurturing creativity among the kids
• Drama- Drama or role playing activities can make kids aware of the different situations that we come across in our real life. When kids face a particular conflict in the role playing games, they actually develop strategies to cope up with the situation. This helps them in their future life when they come across a new environment and people
• Nature- It is very important for us to make our kids aware of the natural world. It is said that nature contains the answer to every question. In this post modern, superfast era it sometime becomes difficult for us to find the natural world. In such cases, taking a evening walk with the child can give good results.
Children’s creativity must be provided with opportunities to explore and share their thoughts, ideas and feelings, for example, through a variety of art, music, movement, dance, imaginative and role-play activities, mathematics, design and technology. This will bring out the best out of the children in terms of developing holistically.
