One of the main reasons wine glasses are so widely sought-after is they are the perfect combination of form and function. Beyond being vessels to drink wine they also are incredibly decorative and can be glass decorations themselves.

When spring arrives, you see flowers blossoming everywhere. Small dainty ones to the sultry blooms paint your backyard garden. There so many sprouting outdoors that you want to bring them indoors. Tall, big vases are for flowers with long stalks. The posies need something smaller and elegant. If you have that free wine glasses from the neighborhood liquor store, you would probably want to use them as containers for the tiny blooms. Wine glasses are just of the right size.
Small flowers in wine glasses can certainly brighten up smaller corners of your rooms. They are not overwhelming but not too discreet to go unnoticed. So, sometimes these bouquets do add some color to a dull room. So, for as long as you are not allergic to pollen, you will enjoy the little bouquets all over your house. They provide the lingering floral scent indoors.
Wine glasses are pretty versatile. Aside from your creativity in flower arrangement, you can use the champagne flute as your multi-tier cake stand. Just turn them over with the base up and stack up another cake base for another tier of cake. With that, you don't really need the commercialized cake stand. At least, with the champagne flute, you can always play around with the stand configurations for your future bakes.
And when you do some entertaining at home, you can add a little bling to those plain wine glasses of yours. You can either purchase ready made wine glass charms or make them yourself which can be quite fun. And when your friends come over for dinner at your place, your wine glass bling could be a conversational piece. Wine glassware charms not only differentiate your guests' wine glassware but also add some sparkle and glamor under the lights.
If you are not too creative but still want something to help differentiate the glasses, perhaps, it is time for you to bring out that single earring which has lost its partner. At least you get to keep your favorite earring and also give it a second life. Sometimes, don't you just hate that freebie wine glassware which are thick and visually unappealing? How about using the wine glassware as your canvas? If you have that gift of painting, it would be nice to use wine glasses as your medium.
Check with the craft store for the right type of paint to use on glass. You will probably need the right brushes for glass surface as well. If you find that your wine glasses are boring, you can always do something to give them the festive look. For Christmas for example, you can always get the snowflake template and etch. The possibilities are endless.
Wine glassware are also popular as door gifts at weddings. You just need to dress up the wine glasses with lace or ribbons and throw in some bon bon in the glasses. They make really awesome wedding tokens. Now that you have got some ideas, why don't you bring out that tired looking wine glasses and start decorating.
