Cycling involves a small amount of risk and the health benefits of cycling outweigh risks by 20:1. It is healthier for a child to cycle than not to cycle. Ironically, this puts children’s lives in greater, eventual danger. These days children are so pampered that majority of them are chauffeur-driven from home to school to after-school activities to friends’ houses, they rarely get the chance to mix with traffic outside of the parental taxi. In case they venture out, they’re less well equipped to evaluate everyday risks. It is essential for parents to let children have direct exposure to nature for the physical and emotional health.
So letting children played on bikes when they are growing up so that they remember how much fun it was when they grow up. Today due to safety concerns parents get scared to let their children cycle outdoor, but with a bit of planning, it is often possible to find routes that avoid busy roads. To drive safer there are so many choices that growing kids where their bike adventure might take them. They could visit a play-park, the funfair, the beach or perhaps the cinema. If the weather’s nice maybe they could even take a picnic. If it’s less sunny, a nice warm café or family-friendly pub will do the trick for a quick pit stop.
So parents must buy bike for their kids to let them enjoy cycling. By encouraging kids to cycle from an early age will and helping them to take their ‘Bike ability’ test, will make them proficient in cycling for life.
