The article shares a few customization ideas for a paintball gun.
If you have your own paintball marker you will be able to save some money when visiting fields, as you will not have to rent a gun. Furthermore, you have the possibility to customize the gun as you desire, picking out from many styles of customization, ranging from paintjobs to adding various parts designed to improve the gun’s performance.

If you want to apply camouflage paint on your paintball gun, we’d recommend a woodland camouflage pattern that uses a combination of khaki, brown and forest green. A desert camo pattern uses a light brown color and a lighter shade of khaki. Snow camo comes with a white and two shades of light gray patterns.

Before starting to paint the gun, you should remove any of the peripherals that you do not want to paint, like the feeder or the barrel, by unscrewing them. In addition, remove any loose parts of the paintball gun, like the bolt, which can be removed using a set of allen keys. The areas that you do not want to paint should be masked by using paper and tape. This must include any opening in the gun.

You have to spray the gun with the lightest paint that you have and let it dry 100%. After that, flip it over and spray the other side with the same paint. Spray the paintball gun with your mid-colored paint in an up-and down, zig-zag style on both sides, letting it dry after painting both sides. Spray the gun with the darkest paint you have in several patches on each side of the paintball gun. These patches do not have to be perfect circles, and they can be applied at random across both sides of the gun.

After completing all these steps, remove the masking tape and start reassembling the gun after the final patches has completely dried.

Aside from applying a camo pattern to the gun, you could also attach an automatic feeder in place of a standard elbow feeder if you want to increase at which rate the balls are fed into the gun, thus increasing the potential fire rate.

Another option for customizing the gun would be to use a front grip to run the carbon-dioxide line through a grip in front of the pistol grip. This additional grip will allow you to fire the gun more comfortably with two hands, and permit you to hold it steadier for more consistent shooting.

If you can afford it, buy a laser dot and install it on top of the paintball gun to show where you are aiming. Although such products cannon be relied upon to guarantee a hit - the paintballs drop considerably over long distances and also can curve to the left / right, based upon wind - such a laser dot can improve your efficiency by letting you know the general direction of your shots.

As you can see, there are plenty of things that you can do in order to improve your paintball gun. While some are mainly for aesthetic purposes, others can truly enhance the performances of the gun, giving you more chances out on the field, where it matters.
