The audio element of this system can be either connected through the scanner's audio system [if available] or through the CSP PureSound Audio System. Through this state-of-the-art system, a high-quality stereo signal can be delivered into the examination room without interference to the scanner. It is designed to operate from a stereo signal received from the line or headset output of the included CD player. The Amplifier and Control unit has four phono units at the rear which are made active when the corresponding input switch is selected. In addition, a multi-way socket links to a termination box which is located outside the examination room.
The feeding of signal and supply connections into the examination room is done by a cable via four appropriate electrical filters. This cable is connected to the stereo acoustic converter. This system comes with a termination box which allows for connection to speakers in the examination room, waiting room, or control area.
With entertainment systems such as these, MRI scans don't have to be accompanied by claustrophobia, stress, or boredom. From the point of view of doctors and patients, this is a win-win situation.
