There are many different notable CCS Presentation Systems Southwest projects where we have helped to create state-of-the-art audio visual solutions, among them one in particular stands out for its coordinated effort with our partner Crestron.
Crestron helps connect people with its integrated audiovisual systems for every room, every application and every budget. Just by using any Mac or PC, Crestron’s Room View software provides real-time remote control and management of all rooms, devices and subsystems such as audio visual, lighting and HVAC. System expansion is easy; every room and each device is simply another node on the network throughout the building, across the campus or around the globe.
In this particular higher learning institution project example, CCS Southwest chose Crestron control systems products to integrate at the main student learning center at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. The 18,000 square foot Bridget Hall building in Mesa, Arizona, is a new home for students, comprising a learning commons area and student activities center. The building also includes meeting rooms, conversation spaces as well as a student lounge.
CCS designed and installed a new state-of-the-art audio visual system at Bridget Hall, working with a team of systems people and architects on the multipurpose room and common area for students.
The Chandler-Gilbert Community College came to CCS seeking advice, project help and integration expertise for an interactive audio visual system. Their staff wanted CCS to work with partners that could help provide seamless communication across its space, allow teachers to switch up programs and lessons easily and help get students engaged with the technology and learning processes of the classroom.
CCS managers worked with the building’s architects to suggest alterations in construction that would benefit the audio visual system involved. Once those details were ironed out, then the integration focus began.
For the project, Crestron provided its Digital Media System, which offers audio visual distribution, system control (through its Crestron MPB20 15-button control panels) and management for analog and uncompressed HD digital content. The software used in the system is the Crestron Room View software, which is a great tool for coordinating devices connected to the system. Not only does the Room View software make managing separate devices a breeze to remotely control from a desktop computer, but the software also automates some technical and managerial functions for more efficiency and support.
With 26 offices nationwide, CCS Presentation Systems is one of the largest groups of audio visual integration companies in the country, helping schools, companies, government organizations and more with integration, installation, training and maintenance of audio visual equipment.
