1. Font Type, Size and Colors
The ideal newsletter uses a maximum of 3 or 4 different fonts in its content to highlight different parts of the message. The largest font should be for the main header, followed by medium font for the actual content. You can have another different size for the call to action which should be visible at a glance. As for colors, you can go with variations of your website’s color scheme, and avoid using serif type fonts. Sans serif fonts look much neater and make scheming through the text a lot easier.

4. Refresh Your Newsletter Template over Time
The ideal email marketing plan allows you to send out newsletters once every week or every fortnight to avoid flooding your recipients’ inbox folders with messages. This frequency is reasonable enough so that you only require to change your newsletter format once in 6 months. It will give your subscribers a pleasant surprise the next time they receive your newsletter and keep them loyal to your business.
