Beautiful Coastline The coastline of the French Riviera is very beautiful and is usually considered to be best appreciated outside of high summer where temperatures are cooler and more comfortable. Generally, the weather is sunnier than any other part of France and this might be why so many people are drawn to the area, both to visit and to relocate. There is an abundance of small villages and towns along the coast and slightly further inland which are perfect for exploring when the hustle and bustle and glamour of the Cote d’Azur all becomes a bit too much! The Cote d’Azur is a major yachting and cruising area with a number of beautiful marinas all along its coast. It is thought that the Riviera hosts approximately half of the globe’s super yacht fleet and that around 90% of all super yachts will visit the coastline at least once in the whole lifetime.
