These days, everybody, or at least most of us, is leading an extremely hectic life. There is little time to reflect upon life as a whole. There is tremendous sense of urgency and less enjoyment. This kind of lifestyle takes toll on our health, mind and relationships. To save our lives and relationships we need to be in this moment and learn to enjoy the moment and the relationships.

James wakes up at eight in the morning. From that very moment he is in a rush.Prepare his breakfast to dress up for the office. To arrange the documents for the boss to reviewing the client presentation. The suburban train journey to negotiation with the difficult client. Paying the bills on time to buying the groceries for dinner. Challenges are many, priorities changing every now and then. Contingencies popping up demanding his immediate attention, firefighting required at unprecedented incidents. When he gets to get back to home at quarter to ten, there is hardly any energy left in him to prepare dinner. He orders for some readymade food before he goes to take his shower. The food, low in nutrients, does two things. One to satisfy his hunger for the time, and two, to add calories to his system.
All this is going to change from next month, he wonders. When he’s going to be married to his long time girlfriend Ella. He sometimes dreams of the good times Ella and he are going to get after they get married, taking care of each other, sharing the happiness and concerns alike….His thoughts are interrupted. Spending time together? Does he have enough spare time in his daily routine to do that? And taking care of each other? will they be able to meet for sometime every day. He has such a hectic routine, and Ella, who is a junior doctor in a renowned hospital, often has rotating shifts.
James thought for some a few days. Then discussing the issue with Ella, they decided to face the issue head on. True they do not have much time for each other after seeking to fulfill their career goals and obligations, however, it was also true that they wanted to spend time together and be happy. Then, they agreed to go for marriage counseling.
When it comes to couples therapy and couples counseling one should be doubly sure to consult the best therapist and get qualified opinion and help. When it comes to counseling one should always check the credentials of the therapist. Christopher Diggins, MA, LMHC is a respected name in this field. He is based in Shoreline, Washington. With over 25 years of experience in couples therapy and different levels of counseling he is able to provide with the right kind of guidance required to vent one’s fears, concerns and issues. A half an hour initial counseling, free of cost, gives a person the confidence that he’ll be able to solve his problem through mutual talking, undertaking activities together and so on. The logic Mr. Diggins believes in is simple. To stay happy as human beings, his recommendation is to be able to convert brain chemistry into neurotransmitters. The aim of the therapy is to identify ones true self. When one is able to accept oneself with all the shortcomings and fears then one is much relaxed. And one who is at peace with oneself is able to accept others, the partner, without being judgmental.
James and Ella took the right decision at the right time. It helped them out to address their fears and concerns and doubts, and live a healthy and peaceful life.
