Still, even many healthcare professionals are unaware of the clinical research or the clinical trials services which are one of the fastest growing services under the healthcare research sector, here is an overview

Clinical Research or the clinical trials services are gaining popularity day by day as there is a need to create drugs for the several new diseases and improve the performances of already available medicines. Many people or even the health care professionals are unaware of this type of services, so here is an overview of what actually happens in clinical research.
Clinical Research
This is the stage of following the basic research and animal testing; clinical research is conducted on humans by combined teams of physicians, pharmacists, laboratory technicians, nurses and other staff health. It is most often at the hospital, but increasingly, it is supported by private companies (or Contract Research Organizations CRO), which are major providers in the pharmaceutical industry.
What is a clinical trial?
A clinical trial is an organized medical study to test the effects of a new drug or an already existing biological treatment or a medical device that could cure or prevent disease already identified. Clinical studies are designated to examine, detect, monitor, treat, or prevent any disease. The main purpose of a clinical trial is to compare two or more groups of subjects, using two or more treatments to determine the effectiveness of a drug or biological treatment. Clinical trials are conducted with care and ethics to protect patients from unnecessary side effects and to allow collection and analysis accurate and true information about a given disease. In general, clinical trials offer hope for future patients of effective treatment against the disease. Especially clinical trials try to answer several key questions on how to use a new drug:
• How to take the medication? How many therapeutic units (tablets, capsules, syrups tablespoons) or how long the infusion of an injectable solution for a sufficient amount of drug to be active in the blood. All these questions are part of a discipline that researchers call the pharmacy, who is studying the fate and action of a drug in the human body, including its rates of absorption and elimination.
• Will the new drug is effective? If so, is it more effective than treatments commonly used?
• Will the new drug is not toxic? Are these side effects are not too important?
• Finally, against all types of pathology / disease is it most efficient? Who will benefit most? At what point will he be most beneficial (preventive and / or curative)?
To address these issues, clinical trials are usually conducted in four phases, called simply phases I, II, III, IV, that allow pharmaceutical companies and technology to initiate and monitor the development of a new molecule or a new treatment.
Clinical data management, site monitoring, medical writing and regulatory services are some other common service that comes under the clinical research.
