Program Overview :
This program is specifically designed for individuals who wish to pursue an exciting career in a variety of legal and professional environments, including court clerk/ monitor. Court clerk training and Municipal court training offered at Centennial College are playing wonders in getting jobs.

The role of the court clerk is multi-faceted and includes the implementation of courtroom procedures in addition to working with judges, lawyers and other courtroom personnel.

This two-semester program provides students with the education and hands-on skills training that has been approved by the Ministry of the Attorney General.

Admission Requirements :
Centennial College expects students applying for admission to certificate or diploma programs to present at minimum an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent or be 19 years of age or older. Possession of minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission to the program.

Academic Requirements :
* Compulsory English 12 or U, or skills assessment, or equivalent

Graduation Requirements :
* Minimum C grade average and an overall minimum GPA of 2.0 is required for graduation

Notes :
Applicants are advised that the Ministry of the Attorney General and some other employers require all employees to be able to obtain a criminal and credit clearance to be considered for employment.

The qualification requirements and costs for each external accreditation, designation, certification or recognition are set by the granting body and not by Centennial College. In order to qualify for any of those external accreditations, designations, certification or recognition, students and graduates will need to follow the processes and meet the applicable requirements listed on the websites and materials of those external bodies.
