Putting up carpets at your home or office make them look elegant, stylish, warm, and cozy. There are a wide range of carpets that you can choose from. If you have recently installed carpet in your home or office, then you must also think about carpet cleaning. Depending upon the type of carpet, different carpet cleaning methods are used on them.
Different types of Carpet cleaning methods:
Steam Cleaning or Hot water extraction cleaning method:
It is considered to be the most effective and efficient cleaning method in taking out dirt, stains and dirt. It typically involves application of a cleaning agent on soiled surface, agitation of carpet with brush followed by washing. After a short duration when the cleaning agent settles in the carpet, the carpet has to be washed by a carpet cleaning equipment to rinse the cleaning agent carefully and then left to dry in a room or at air conditioned temperature.
This method is very effective in killing mites, fungus, and bacteria that make the carpet absolutely clean after cleaning. This method is not only used in household cleaning but also in cleaning office by professionals.
Shampoo and Foam or Carpet shampooing method:
It is one of the most common and oldest cleaning methods. This machine uses cleaner in the form of foam which is then applied on the surface of the carpet. The foam plus the chemicals extract the dirt from the carpet. Foam puts off water from drenching deeply into the carpet and thus the carpet dries moderately quickly.
Dry carpet cleaning method:
It is also a very good cleaning method and cleans your carpet and upholstery without the use of water. It is a less expensive method than steam or shampooing method. It must be ensured that machine is producing bubbles of uniform size. It involves the use of a powder-based cleaning agent. It is usually sprinkled across the carpeting and left to set for a half hour or more. It is safe for all types of carpets and recommended for commercial offices that are operated 24*7.
Buffer cleaning method:
It is considered as the newest method in carpet cleaning. It can be used by both professional cleaners as well as homeowners. It needs a certain carpet cleaner to apply on the surface and let it soak the whole material.
Thus, knowing that your carpet is well cleaned, you can be sure that it gives you great warmth and comfort.
